The Artful Readers Club for March
The Walking Dead Compendium One by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard { and some other folks} Charlie Adlard recently admitted in an interview that he often makes up his characters on the page. A fact which can cause any serious character designer to bow in admiration. As you can see the likeness of the graphic novel with the AMC show is very close. Tweet Review: A long, arduous display of how a few people can entertain the masses. Since I am reading and watching The Walking Dead simultaneously, I am constantly comparing the two. Live Lyrics:
ReplyDeleteShe came without warning
like an angel come from heaven in the night (heaven in the night)
her kiss makes me tremble
so she pulls me close and holds me oh so tight.
And suddenly, out of the blue she starts singin'...
Oh babe, let my lovin' ease your pain
Bring your burning skin to my river once again
I'll give you life
Oh baby, let my lovin' ease your pain
I'll give you life (oooooh)
I'll give you life, yeah baby (oooooh)
I'll give you life (wooohooohooohooohooo)
Oh baby, let my lovin' ease your pain
Bring your burning skin to my river once again
I'll give you life
Oh baby, let my lovin' ease your pain, yeah yeah
Bring your burning skin to my river, oh to my river
I wonder if this image is connected to the above lyrics? In any case, I think there is something beautifully sympathetic between the look of the goblin and the viewer. Such a beseeching look, such a self-identification with the face.
The ogre has a charm and a beauty about her. She has high cheekbones, fine lips, big blue eyes... She is very feminine.
But the horns - like bull's horns. Does she have a horrible temper which she regrets?
